Essence, toner or serum?
A toner preps the skin, an essence hydrates and treats lightly, and a serum or ampoule carries the most concentrated actives. An essence is easy to explain to new customers and sits between a toner and a serum in price, which makes it a good first product.

Larger runs cost less per unit: about 20% less at 1,000 units, 35% less at 3,000, 38% less at 5,000 and 40% less at 10,000, against the 500-unit price. Your written quote shows the exact numbers.
Timeline
Lab samples take about 2 weeks to make from your brief, then 5 to 10 days by air. After you approve the sample, production takes about 4 to 5 weeks with a ready or adjusted formula, or 4 to 6 weeks with a custom formula. Reorders are faster than the first run.
